The food was amazing, we ordered the birria tacos, beef tacos and al pastor and oh my, they were all phenomenal and came out so quickly even though it was Sunday and the restaurant was pretty full. The service was just as great as the food was, super attentive and kind.
The food was sooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooood. Everyone was very nice and would recommend!
What a great little taco place in Laurel! I was looking for Birria tacos, and I hit the jackpot. The place is super clean and decorated so festively. The ladies up front are kind and you get great customer service. Most importantly the flavor and the size of the tacos for the price is amazing! Each taco is overflowing with meat. The consommé is flavorful. The radish and lime on the side add even more authenticity. I also got a Gordita with pastor meat. I could not finish two tacos and a Gordita because the servings are huge. I will definitely return to this hidden gem!
We went here last night during Taco Tuesday. It was $1.75 each tacos. Only 4 flavors are part of it. Pollo, Pastor, Carnitas and Asada. It was okay flavor wise. It was just lacking a little bit of it. Just a little bit. I was happy with their portion sizes though. Good amount for what you pay for. The servers and cashiers were nice and was able to communicate well with all the questions i had especially tbe prices since only the taco Tuesday tacos have prices but none of the menu on the wall have them. So i had to keep asking the price which she answered. The inside is colorful just like the outside. Now for the main event. Pizzabirria. Is something new for us. It was delicious!!! My son took a bite of it and it was splendid. He loved it a lot. Mind you he is 15 with a picky palate but omg he loved everything about the pizzabirria. He loved it. We all did. This one has a lot of flavor. Lots of fillings. The sauce was great everything about it was great. That one i can highly recommend.
Now this is real and authentic Mexican food. If you are ever in Maryland and you are craving Mexican food, you might want to check this place out.
My children and I choose the quesadilla and azada tacos and was a delicious meal. The cost are regular, as all now is kind of expensive... mostly for good food. I will get back and try more food from this place.
It's back to house hunting which means time to also try out some new restaurants! Recently we were in Laurel and of course we had to browse the Yelp for some food because we weren't familiar with the area. We landed on Taqueria Los Perez! I ordered nachos with carnitas and David got the burrito with Pastor. Nachos: Finally nachos with a good chip-to-cheese ratio! I am here for it. I liked the portion size and that it felt enough for one person as their meal. AND THE CARNITAS. They tasted as though they had JUST came out of the oven. Sometimes we like to make carnitas at home and make tacos right after, and I have to say the freshness was on par. The picked onions on the side in a plastic bag was an interesting choice, but hey, nacho cheese, pico, and guac?!?! Can't complain. Only thing I didn't like was that when I got to the bottom, the chips were covered in oil/grease. Other than that, delicious! Pastor Burrito: My first comment to David was that the meat actually looked red! LOL! Very authentic tasting and David enjoyed the actual pieces of pineapple in the burrito. He said this was one of the closest burritos to remind him of California in MD. So....Californian approved! Easy parking in the side of the restaurant. Glad we tried it and would recommend!
The inside was clean and and comfortable. The staff greeted us and handed us menus with a smile. My kid ordered the quesabirria, my husband ordered taco birrias and I ordered the mixed fajitas. Everything was delicious. We would definitely return if we're in the area again.
Taqueria Los Perez is a great spot for anyone wanting the real deal taste of Mexico. It's got that authentic vibe, a welcoming atmosphere, and prices that don't break the bank. It's no wonder this family-owned joint is a hit with the locals. Don't pass up the chance to dive into these amazing flavors, and treat yourself to the Pizza Birria or Taco de Lengua, they're a foodie experience that goes above and beyond the usual. If you're into a hearty Mexican breakfast, Taqueria Los Perez has got you covered with their morning menu. They've got goodies like Huevos en Torta, Huevos a la Mexicana, Huevos Ranchero, and Huevos con Chorizo. I haven't gotten around to trying the breakfast yet, but they look amazing.
Hit this place up for breakfast the other day. The huevos rancheros were a bit of a mess, even for huevos rancheros, but they were tasty and had a good kick. I very much enjoyed eating them. The food was made to order. The place was spotlessly clean, well-lit, and ample space. The one thing I'd point out is the person taking my order seemed unfamiliar with their own menu, so perhaps they could improve onboard training a little bit. Overall, enjoyed the place and look forward to going back and trying other parts of their menu.
